Biography of Julie Fetcko

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to visit our website.  AlbatrossLady.com was originally created to market my aviation real estate and provide information about the Albatross to interested aviators.

My spouse gave me the email moniker "Albatross Lady" when we set up our first personal email accounts in Florida. Although I wasn't thrilled about it at the time, I lacked the technical abilities necessary to change my own email address. I eventually got used to it, and when I started marketing airpark homes, I made the "Albatross Lady.com" website since it was simple for people to remember.
When we retired to Florida in 1997 after selling our business, we had a goal of living in an airpark. From the Atlanta region, John and I relocated to Eagles Nest Aerodrome and Seaplane Base.  We chose Eagles Nest for the seaplane base and the country setting and still enjoy living here today. We enjoy living a life centered around aviation and the camaraderie that comes with living in a community with people of similar interests.

We were briefly featured in the last part of  The Travel Channels "Private Jets" program done with John Travolta. I was featured on the September 2, 2007 cover of General Aviation News, for the "Living With Your Plane" publication.  This cover was also selected and used for the General Aviation News advertisement in the Aviation For Women magazine.  Stories have also been featured in International Publications such as May 2008, Aviasport Magazine (French), January-February 2008 Pilots Magazine, and February 2008 Today's Pilot Magazine. All those places, all those planes, and pilots everywhere.  It just felt right for me to put my sales and marketing background to work selling Aviation Real Estate.

Dealing with our own association, I learned valuable lessons about the management of an airpark, understanding all the associated community documents, and the issues that can arise that have to be dealt with and handled by the Boards of Directors. I went on to obtain my brokers license to offer the highest caliber service to my clients.  Matching pilots with properties has been my focus for the last 12 years.  My involvement in aviation events, seaplane activities and numerous communities has allowed me to develop a strong knowledge base for my clients to rely on.

With AlbatrossLady.com booth representation at the Sun' N Fun Annual Fly In and the Sebring Light Sport Aviation Expo, your property will get excellent exposure in the aviation market. Whether it is matching runway requirements to buyers aircraft or helping to select the community environment that will most suit your lifestyle and personal growth, I will work with you to find the aviation property of your dreams. I work hard and I play hard.  I am up front and honest.  I am far from perfect and I won't always say what you want to hear,  but I work with integrity and professionalism.

Albatross Wiki

The Grumman HU-16 Albatross is a twin-engine amphibious aircraft designed by the American aerospace company Grumman in the 1940s.primarily by the United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Navy (USN) for search and rescue, and reconnaissance missions.
The Albatross has retractable tricycle landing gear and a high-wing configuration with two piston engines mounted on the wing. Due to its boat-shaped hull, it can take off and land on both land and water. To carry out its various mission roles, the aircraft can be equipped with a variety of tools, such as radar, sonar, and camera systems.
The HU-16 Albatross made its first flight in 1949, and the US military began using it in combat in 1950. It was extensively used during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, as well as other wars and relief efforts for natural disasters all over the world. Several other nations, including France, Spain, and Japan, also used the Albatross.
In addition to serving in the military, the Albatross also performed civilian duties like passenger transport, air-sea rescue, and maritime patrol. It was also used as a high-end private aircraft and in the film industry. A total of 466 HU-16 Albatross aircraft were built before production of the type was completed in 1961. Many of these planes are still in use today, owned by individuals and museums all over the world.
